Product Marketing Specialist

Responsibilities

  • Develop differentiated, persona-sensitive positioning and messaging for Dista products and business solutions

  • Understand buyer personas and apply them across marketing and promotional campaigns as well as sales tools

  • Understand the competitor landscape in relation to your product area to accurately position and differentiate Dista products against various competitors across multiple segments

  • Be the product spokesperson and evangelist, supporting a wide range of opportunities across external and internal mediums

  • Work closely with marketing and develop content to drive marketing programs to create awareness and demand

  • Work with multiple functions and teams within the organization such as Product, Customer Success, Sales, and Marketing, and ensure successful development and delivery of promotional programs

  • Aid Sales Enablement, help convey the value proposition to sales teams and help the sales cycle

  • Work in tandem with the Engineering and Integration team to highlight the latest and high-value features in our product demos

 

About the candidate

  • Passionate about understanding client pain points and addressing them. The candidate should be self-driven, own projects from the get-go, and keep teammates on track

  • You are comfortable creating materials for a wide range of internal and external audiences. You’ll need to get technical to understand the product and prepare product marketing collateral

  • You are proactive and self-directed; on a day-to-day basis, you’ll often set your own agenda. Lastly, strong people skills are essential: you’ll be working closely with staff ranging from entry-level employees to senior executives

 

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of B2B software or SaaS product marketing experience, a strategic thinker with successful hands-on execution, and strong leadership skills

  • Skilled problem solver with a growth mindset is a must

  • Experience of success in a fast-paced, growth company developing successful go-to-market strategies and improving sales teams’ effectiveness

  • Strong data analysis and written communication skills

  • BS/BTech degree required. Master’s degree preferred but optional

 

Preferred experience/skills

  • Experience working in a dynamic environment

  • Proficiency in analyzing research data

  • Experience marketing products to professional services businesses
